Studio Transcendent

we create premium virtual reality experiences

Studio Transcendent is committed to helping people understand themselves and the world better.

We use Virtual Reality because it addresses all of our senses to provide a deeper understanding of the world around us.

In a complex world where distraction is high and our use of technology expands exponentially, people have a need to regain focus. In contrast to to another shallow hit of social media or casual gaming, VR allows a combination of focus, immersion, and fluidity that gives a person a deep memorable lived experience.

Come live the story with us.

What We offer

we enable you to excel in this medium of mediums

We employ a vast toolset, inspired artistry and a fortified work ethic to bring the diverse elements that go into any VR production to fruition.

Combining backgrounds in software development, graphic design, filmmaking, theatre, music, and storytelling, we are empowered to collaborate fully with you to create rich, cinematic virtual reality experiences.

Our principals come from a deep Hollywood production pedigree, having created significant software products for NBC, Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Showtime, FOX, General Motors, Hyundai, Sony, and many others.

As a studio for hire, we grant you the ability to wield our capabilities to create top-line VR experiences for your customers and clientele.

As an original content studio, we bring our audiences and production partners intelligent, emotional, compelling narratives told from a VR-first perspective.

We are high-end but not high-brow. We enjoy the collaborative process and invite you in to participate with us in bringing life to our collective imaginations with this incredible new medium.

Take a look at this testimonial from Cyan, creators of Myst, regarding our help with their recent VR experience Obduction. Watch the video below about their experience with our team:

we make ideas into realities

Rapid Fire: a brief history of flight has been released on the Oculus Home store in the Entertainment section.  The experience was one of the original content pieces offered on Samsung Milk VR and Hulu's Gear VR App.  Also featured on Jaunt VR, the experience was invited to be a launch partner on Facebook's spatial audio 360 video rollout.

The original experience from Studio Transcendent guides viewers on a 6-minute journey through the history of aviation — an airshow one could never see in real life.  Witness the Wright Flyer’s first leap, dodge bullets from a WWI fighter, get buzzed by the leading-edge F22 Raptor fighter jet, and be nearly engulfed by the world’s largest plane.

Therapeutic Experiences

pain and anxiety management

Studio Transcendent partnered with AppliedVR to create a therapeutic experience designed to reduce stress in the medical setting. Guided Relaxation provides a peaceful environment for meditation with a warm fire, ocean waves, and birds circling in a beautiful sky.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and other medical environments have tested the experience with patients and provided very positive feedback. Research shows that average improvement across all "state anxiety" dimensions for Guided Relaxation ("Anxiety RelieVR") was 63% and Guided Relaxation reduced "state anxiety" 39% more than the 2D video did.

Life-like experiences

we make you feel like you are there

When AppliedVR wanted to give their clients an experience of how viscerally VR can impart a sense of presence, the feeling that you are there, they chose to partner with Studio Transcendent to create The Ledge.

The Ledge gives the viewer the experience of being sent up the side of a very tall building on a painting platform by a slightly devious billboard painter who offers to give you "the best view of the city." The trip that ensues is virtually guaranteed to induce the sensation of vertigo that is only felt atop a tall structure in real life. (This is completely distinct from sim-sickness, which this experience does not induce.)
